Early Morning Role | Monday–Friday | Approx. 7:00am–10:15am | 16 hours per week

Do you love an early start, enjoy being active and get satisfaction from transforming a space and getting everything ready for the day ahead?

Leapfrog Nursery School is looking for a practical, energetic and creative person to join our team in a slightly different kind of nursery role.

Every morning, our nursery rooms and outdoor spaces need to be transformed into inviting, organised and exciting environments ready for our children to arrive. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of making that happen.

This role would suit someone who enjoys getting things done, takes pride in their work and can follow a clear plan while also bringing their own creativity and initiative.

What will you be doing?

Working across two of our nearby nursery settings, you will help prepare the environments for the nursery day. This will include:

• Setting up nursery rooms and repositioning furniture and equipment

• Creating welcoming book areas, displays and activity spaces

• Preparing resources such as water trays, sensory activities and play invitations

• Setting up and organising outdoor play areas

• Sweeping, hoovering and completing light cleaning and tidying as part of the morning set-up

• Checking that rooms are organised, fresh, safe and ready for children

• Moving between our two nearby settings as part of your morning

• Working from agreed room plans and responding positively to feedback from nursery leaders

• Helping us continually improve how our environments look and work for our children

Who are we looking for?

You do not need to be nursery qualified. For us, attitude is much more important.

We are looking for someone who is:

Energetic and practical – this is an active role involving moving equipment, setting up spaces and being on your feet.

Reliable – our children and teams need the nursery ready when they arrive, so being dependable and punctual is essential.

Creative – you notice how a room looks and enjoy making spaces feel welcoming, interesting and engaging.

Organised – you can work through a plan, manage your time and see what needs doing.

Happy working independently – particularly during the early part of the morning – while also being part of the wider nursery team.

Open to learning – you can take direction and feedback and are interested in understanding why we organise environments in particular ways for young children.

You will also need to be able to travel independently between the two nursery settings, which are approximately 10 minutes apart.

Could this be your first step into Early Years?

Absolutely.

This could be a great opportunity for someone interested in eventually developing a career in a nursery but who doesn't yet have early years experience or qualifications.

You'll be working alongside an experienced nursery team, learning about children's environments, resources and routines and seeing how great early years provision is created.

For the right person, there may be opportunities to develop further within Leapfrog in the future.

Approximately 7:00am–10:15am
16 hours per week
Working across two nearby Leapfrog Nursery School settings

This is a permanent early-morning position and would particularly suit someone who enjoys having their working day underway early and having the rest of the day free.

All appointments are subject to Leapfrog Nursery School's safer recruitment procedures, including appropriate references and an Enhanced DBS check.
