COMPTON ROAD - OFSTED OUTSTANDING 2023

Compton Road is often described by parents as having a homely feel with exciting opportunities for outdoor play. We are open for children from 10 months until they move onto school and offer opening hours from 8.30am –4pm Monday – Friday.

There are plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventures. Tucked away at the rear of the nursery is our green garden comprising of a two-story playhouse, digging pit, water pump and plenty of space for the children to use the climbing frame, swing and rope ladder. 

Adjacent to the nursery, under the protection of a canopy, is our soft surface play area. Children enjoy this safety surface for riding their bikes and scooters, it can be accessed every day and in all weathers.

We have created an outdoor kitchen area where children can explore making potions, cups of tea and coffee, lots of cooking and mud pies – wherever their imaginations take them. 

The nursery benefits from a small learning space which can provide a calm area, a snug for telling stories or a quiet space where we can work with children in small groups or individually.

The newest addition to Leapfrog Nursery School is our calm and nurturing toddler room. We have created this space for children starting with us from 10 months. A carefully selected team of staff with specific toddler and Leapfrog experience support children to settle into nursery life and routines well and secure friendships and bonds with adults quickly.
